Last night I had a dream that I was in Vegas. Martin Starr was there. He fixed my computer and then we cuddled. It was nice. First of all, my computer is fine. Second, I really thought my Party Down crush was on Adam Scott’s character, Henry. I guess I must have a subconscious crush on Roman. I never would have guessed. It makes sense though..I do always go for the nerd.
So, I’m watching Party Down, and we all know that it stars Lizzy Caplan. I’m on the second to last episode and there is a small role played by the guy who played Damien in Mean Girls. Damien and Janis Ian were best friends, so you know Lizzy probably got him the part in Party Down.
I love when I see stuff like this, haha. It means they must keep in touch, that’s cute. It’s the small things…
Everything is cheaper with free shipping, right? I mean…my purchases are justified if there is free shipping. At least that’s what I’m telling myself. Over the years, I’ve been a loyal user of Amazon. I never took the plunge and signed up for Amazon Prime because I told myself that at $79/year, it really wasn’t worth it. I was probably wrong though, because if I sat down and did the math, I’m sure I’ve spent way more than $79 on shipping costs alone in the past year.
Last week I decided to sign up for the free trial of Amazon Prime. It is either the best decision I’ve ever made, or the worst decision I’ve ever made. I’ve been shopping a lot lately. I’m going to chalk it up to the fact that I’m turning 26 in a few days and I’m severely depressed about that. There’s nothing material that I really NEED, and there isn’t really anything that I’m dying to have, but when I sign on to Amazon and look at their recommendations, I just can’t help myself. Seriously, whoever thought of the whole recommendations thing is a genius. It’s like they find awesome things FOR me. I don’t even have to search for them. I’m going to share with you my recent purchases.
Since signing up for Amazon Prime less than a week ago, here is what I bought -
I know..it’s a lot. Do I have any regrets? No. Everything I’ve purchased has been under $16. I know it all adds up, but fuck, It’s my birthday on Saturday. I don’t want to turn 26 so I am going to mope around and read about how Pawnee is the greatest town in America, followed by reading Tina Fey’s Bossypants. I will watch a couple John Krasinski movies because he is super sexy and I’ve heard nothing but good things about them. (Also, one of the JKras movies has Christopher Meloni. It will be amazing). I will begin and then finish watching the Party Down series because I have a new tiny crush on Adam Scott. I will do my People Magazine crossword puzzles because those are the only ones I can finish, and then I will follow it all up with reading about life’s big questions in Rainn Wilson’s Soul Pancake. It will be awesome.
I also bought Hall Pass. I’ve already seen it, but it was cheap, it was in my recommendations and it has Jenna Fischer.
Happy Birthday to me.
